My recent stay at the Salt House on Fore Street was exceptional. The house was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with stylish decor and modern amenities. The location was perfect, right in the heart of the old town, and just a short walk to the harbor. I loved sipping my morning tea while enjoying the view of the Verity statue from the top bedroom window. The owners, Jo and Jon, were friendly and accommodating. They even had a room for storing surfboards and beach equipment, which was incredibly convenient. I had a wonderful seaside break at the Salt House and would highly recommend it.

Great communication from the hosts and a warm welcome. the house was spotless and beautifully furnished, with everything you need in the kitchen and even a lovely fresh flower arrangement. the location was perfect, with pubs and restaurants nearby, a short walk to the beach, and a short drive to surfing spots.
The stairs could be a challenge for those with difficulty climbing them. There is no private parking and the nearby car park is camera controlled, which resulted in a parking fine for one guest.

We had an amazing stay at The Salt House! The value for money was unbeatable and the room was fantastic - spacious, clean, and filled with quirky decor. The location was perfect, close to the quayside and shops, and we were treated with such warmth and friendliness by the staff.
The breakfast offerings could have been better with a wider variety.

The accommodation was spacious and well-appointed, with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The beds were comfy, the showers were hot, and the kitchen had sharp knives. We also appreciated the entrance room for storing all our beach gear and the rack for surfboards. Plus, the location was perfect - just a short walk to the fishing harbor and Damien Hirst's famous sculpture, with a lovely old pub right across the street. The owners were friendly and made us feel welcome, which added to the overall positive experience.
One of the double bedrooms was a bit dark, and it would have been nicer if it had a lighter paint color. Another minor issue was the lack of locks on the toilet doors, which caused concern for one member of our party.

The location of the hotel was excellent, right in the heart of the town. It was so convenient to have a variety of bars, restaurants, and cafes just a stone's throw away.
We did find that the noise from the pubs across the street could be a bit disruptive, especially in the evenings. However, it was good to note that they closed at a reasonable time.

The location of the hotel is excellent, with two good pubs just across the street where you can enjoy food and drinks. the house itself is well-presented, clean, and very spacious, with plenty of room for eight people without feeling overcrowded. the bedrooms are comfortable and large, with heated beds for added comfort.
The lack of private parking may be an inconvenience , as parking at the nearby Ropery car park can be problematic and lead to receiving parking fines for no apparent reason.
